This experience maybe rather foolish than funny but the important thing (despite my foolishness) is the image that I would like to share to you. If you was me, maybe you might did the same thing like I did before. On last week, I went to upper site of Katingan river to the town named Tumbang Hiran. To reach there, you must across Katingan river twice by water transportation called ferry. At that time, It was already dark when we arrived at the first crossing site. When my car went into the ferry, I still thought that we stand on the dock waiting for the ferry from the other side. So I asked to my co-workers when the ferry would came and they were suddenly laugh.
I just found out that these kind of transportation is common used in every part that need water transportation in Borneo. If you watch carefully, you will see that this ferry have two boat body. That boats are connected by long sheet of board as the deck of the ferry. At least 2 cars and several motorbikes can be carried for one trip. For the passenger, there are two to four gazebo at the corner and last but not least a toilet.
