'The Golden Gate' of Kutai Kartanegara

This evening, while I was cooking and listening to the radio, I heard that news. Kutai Kartanegara bridge felt down at 16.00 WIT. My only response at that time was said, "What? This must be kidding!" That bridge was the same bridge that I visited last September at . The bridge that successfully made me amazed so that I talked about it a weeks afterward. I have never known before that this bridge was built to resemble the Golden Gate in San Fransisco. Suddenly I realized why I was impressed with that bridge, because I never watched such long and big suspension bridge before.
The bridge was built in 2001/2002 ( My friend from there said that the bridge was built when she was in junior high school) and became one of the landmark of Tenggarong. The bridge has lenght about approximately 720 meter with free spans (the area that hanging without support) about 270 meter. That bridge connected Tenggarong city with Tenggarong Seberang that are separated by Mahakam river. When the incident happen, that bridge was under repair.
I truly feel grieving for the victims of this incident. Hope all of the effort to search for the lost victim can be done well and the injured people can be recovered soon.
